Response to a carpool dispute

In the photo, this guy yesterday asked me to hop on Bandwagon Host’s three-network premium plan for $66 per quarter. I charged him a carpool fee at cost and delivered a vless+ws+tls subscription link. Delivering this protocol with Bandwagon Host’s optimized routing shouldn’t be a problem, right? I’ve never heard of this protocol failing for no reason or causing disconnections or speed issues.

Issue Timeline:
During the day today he contacted me to report disconnections. I asked him whether he wanted me to run a reality check, but he didn’t reply; he said there were disconnections. I then asked him what broadband he uses and in what use case. I thought he was tethering, because I had heard mobile data connections overseas could be blocked, so I asked him to try WiFi.

Then I tested with a 200 Mbps broadband from China Telecom in Nanjing, because at my place the router is usually in the room and speeds are typical; the rest of the measured latency and jitter were within the normal range. I told him that my test was normal and that the protocol I used was the same as his.

This guy did something utterly bizarre I didn’t expect: he sent a screenshot claiming my node IP was hopping around and told me to refund 20. I wondered whether Bandwagon Host is doing some kind of “charity” now—giving an extra Japanese IP? I replied that I hadn’t done any traffic splitting on the node, just a direct connection. He said it works fine with other providers, and that he wouldn’t know how to use it.

Finally I explained: 1) the node is Bandwagon Host’s; 2) I actually tested bandwidth/latency/jitter and they’re all normal. I asked him to record a screen, enable full global routing to access ping0 to see whether the IP would actually jump, whether the speed-test parameters were abnormal. If there’s a problem I’ll refund him in full. Is that over the top?

He then said a few times that he would report me, and asked me to publish whether he used it or not. I’m puzzled: whether you use it or not is your business. The service is active, I delivered my node and replied to you normally. You say other things I can barely believe. You also say you want to switch services and I can refund you. One moment it’s disconnections, one moment it’s that the IP will jump—doesn’t this sound ridiculous? In this whole exchange I think you’re the poster child for a total noob. If you can’t handle it, take a moment to learn more before playing around again, okay?

Final conclusion: perform a screen-recorded test, use a WiFi connection, test without a chained relay, run speed tests, and use ping0 to check the IP. If latency is clearly abnormal, the IP will indeed jump. The ride price is 30; I’ll refund 35. This post serves as proof; please, readers, weigh in. I can freely provide two 1-month 100 GB nodes for anyone to test.

Let’s run a speed test. Ping0 should be accessible, right? If you won’t say anything, will the node IP I give you keep changing? Will the connection drop? Let’s test. I’ll provide a direct-link cloud drive for you to upload a screen recording.

If the IP actually ends up in Japan, the speed and latency won’t be normal, and I’ll refund you 35.

Whether Bandwagon Host does charity is none of my business. I’m providing paid nodes for everyone to use. Don’t shut down the node — I already paid for it; I’m doing this as charity. {

No need to refund it anymore—it’s rewarding to donate; 39 yuan is enough.

If you want to use it, test it yourself. If you’re able, use it yourself.

Uh, the night before last and last night, Wagong (瓦工)'s streams were down across the board.

Lately the US West Coast hasn’t been very stable, with occasional outages, and minibox as well.

Hahaha, if you just come right out and say you want to return the car and swap it for another, and say it nicely, I’ll refund you. Stop with that slick talk.

He’s saying it’s unusable, and during the day, what’s even more ridiculous is that he claims the node IP I gave him would route to Japan.

I have plenty of cars.

There’s more to me than just you in this—I’ve never bothered anyone else. It’s you who’s causing the trouble. If you want to understand it that way, there’s nothing I can do. Don’t look for excuses in yourself.

Just to let you know in advance, you broke the rules. This is closed now, but since you’re willing to do a good deed, anyone who sees this comment can private-message to claim Bandwagon Host for $66, quarterly payment, three networks, 240 GB of data per month, limited to one person.

Boost this up—if anyone falls in love with this car, go ahead and buy it.

The benevolent person’s node has already been delivered to the person it’s meant for.

If you want to use it, go ahead—there are plenty of good nodes.

Take a look at the probe.

I’ve refunded everything directly. Use it if you want, or not.

If you don’t have a probe set up, are you interested? I can give you a subscription link.

He spoke politely and said it wasn’t suitable, something like swapping the car. I didn’t use much data, so I can refund him with no loss. He stubbornly claimed that there was a problem with my node.
